I am going to school for photography but we have not gotten to the part of what type of camera to use…and so on.
Right now I am using a Canon Rebel XT EOS, for my classes….
Can anybody help me out? After my schooling I want to open my own Photography Studio.

Canon 5D.
I’m assuming you want to stay with Canon.

Wait till you get to that part on your course!. You are obviously a number of years away from any kind of photography studio so just wait.
(Besides, the camera is not the most important part.. It’s what you attach to the front of them, and the grey matter behind them)
.
Anne Geddes uses a Hasselblad H3D.
The portrait photographer in my town uses a Canon 5D Mark II.
If you plan to run your studio commercially I would not go with anything smaller than FF. It’s not the resolution that is all that important, it’s the ability of FF to capture color, highlights and fine graduations in tonality that is important.
You are a very long way from being qualified to open a studio. Don’t worry about a camera now. By the time you are good enough to have a studio, the technology will have changed a lot and the cameras today will be obsolete.
Yah Canon D5 is good for you.
