What other photographer should I compare Ansel Adams to?

I am writing a paper on Ansel Adams and I need another photographer to compare his to. Are there any photographer who had a big impact of people/events/world?

Id pick Edward Weston , one of the greats of the 20th century.He is noted for his landscape pphotos but also for his nudes and vegetables that look like human bbody’s so be aware of this.
Clyde Butcher’s style is quite similar to Adams – large format, black and white, landscape, dramatic skies. The key difference is that he is still alive and producing work.
