I'd also say maybe work around in business because if you end up working by yourself as an individual photographer, it would help knowing how to sell things and how everything works. With artistic careers it's more about your talent rather than where you were taught or what degrees you have. As long as you can show an impressive an varied portfolio to a potential employer thats all you need. Either get an associate's or bachelor's. I'm getting my bachelor's from the Art Institute. Brooks Institute of Photography is a pretty good school too. There are lots of places you can intern at, you just have to look... portrait studios, newspaper agencies, tv news, etc. Good luck! Find a school where you can major in photography.
