I want become a photographer and I would like to know what education and majors would I need to become a photographer. I haven’t decided if I want to do glamour, portraits, or freelance. And what are some good schools. What are some good places to intern at?

Like everyone else, get a photo major. I’d also say maybe work around in business because if you end up working by yourself as an individual photographer, it would help knowing how to sell things and how everything works.
I don’t know where you live and what course are offered at your universities, but in Australia I think the best thing would be to do an arts degree majoring in photography (if it’s offered) or at the very least taking every photography unit that is available. With artistic careers it’s more about your talent rather than where you were taught or what degrees you have. As long as you can show an impressive an varied portfolio to a potential employer thats all you need. Good luck
Most schools with an art program will have a photography major. Meanwhile, take a lot of pictures and start building a really good portfolio.
Find a school where you can major in photography. Either get an associate’s or bachelor’s. I’m getting my bachelor’s from the Art Institute. Brooks Institute of Photography is a pretty good school too. There are lots of places you can intern at, you just have to look… portrait studios, newspaper agencies, tv news, etc.
Good luck!
