What is better: to hire a private wedding photographer or the one from a big photograhy studio?

I am planning a wedding and looking for a photographer, have even met with some, but still cant decide if I should be looking at some big studios suggested by Davids Bridal, or go with some private small studios with one or two photographers? What is your experience people? Whats better?

Private photographer.

A private one I would say. They are usually cheaper and able to negotiate unlike ones from bigger companies. Most of their work comes by word of mouth, and not by company contracting, so they will go out of their way to make their costumers happy.
I would say private. That way, you can get to know exactly who is going to be photographing the wedding. Usually private photographers are cheaper as well, or willing to make better deals.
whatever you choose, just know its important to get the best you can afford. those pictures can never be replaced!!
Go with a private photographer. A studio is going to have a less personal feel, less tailored to you and your groom. Less creative, in my opinion. Also, you are never certain who will be there to shoot the actual day of the wedding, and what if it’s someone you don’t really mesh well with? Better to interview a few self-employed photographers and then choose the one that you feel will meet your expectations for the day. Make sure you connect with them & like their style of photography.
Be careful of big studios. Make sure that you know exactly who will be shooting your wedding.
This is important so that you know if you like them and that you like there work. Many large studios have an extremely talented owner that usually has a great personality. They then send an associate that is nowhere near the same level. Some are up front about others aren’t
