I have had Liam’s one month photo done professionally. I plan on having professional pics done again at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months. So, every 3 months
Between 6weeks and 3 months is i took my babies.
That is up to the parents. We did both our sons’ first photos at 2 weeks old, because we wanted to capture what they looked like in the really early days. They do a lot of changing in the first month. But that was just what we wanted. Some people never get photos done, and that’s their prerogative.
Whenever the parent’s want.
The time frame can range from as soon as possible to never.
A nice milestone I believe is when baby is at 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, etc…
Anything in between is fine as well!! It’s whenever you want it to be!
A child below 8 months will not know what is hapenning and thus will be ok for pictures. Anytime between 8 months old and 2 years old, unless the child is used to being talk to/move by strangers, it would be difficult. They feel they are being in danger in someone’s else care. Even if you are near by ( I’ve done passport picture when my child was 23 months old and it was quite a disaster…)
So it’s your call !! Have fun, and do take lots of pictures at home in between photo sessions. You can be your own photographer. All you need is a blank or even background, nice blanket, some cute toys, some accessories maybe ( hat, funny glasses, toy car/dolls….the list goes on)!! Set him/her up on a table or coffee table, and that’s it !
my first’s were 1 month , 3 months , 6 months and 12 months
