A professional photographer in my area had mentioned during a class that she used a fake wood floor for her baby portraits and the wall was just paper. (Where the baby is sitting on the wood floor like this -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/crickiephotos/3708252101/in/set-72157594462349168/ ) My question is- Is there a site/place that sells this? or is there a way to make it?

I want to start out in modeling next year and i was wondering, do you have to get a professional photographer to take photos for your portfolio? i have noticed that famous top models e.g. tyra banks, have just had their family and friends take photos of them. so can i do it that way? Also, if i get signed, will there be any fees e.g. ME paying them for photos or cards? Thanks.

I decided to start my own photography business a few weeks ago. I have been paid to take pictures for a few people, does this make me a professional photographer? or do I need to obtain a business license and such to be considered one?

And what makes you think you’re a real professional photographer… education, experience, just a hobby?

I’ve always felt really comfortable smiling in front of the camera or taking self pictures, but I have a friend who is a professional photographer and he mostly takes pictures of women and models. I am definitely not a model by any means, but he said he wants to photograph me but he knows I’m shy and won’t let him. Are there any suggestions you have for me or anybody who’s shy in front of a camera?

What is the best way to store digital photography for a professional photographer? When an external hard drive doesn’t give you the most assurance, and burning 4-10 CD’s for each folder doesn’t sound too good, what is the best way? Please include any how-to links to any techniques. Thanks!
I am storing on a Terabyte external hard drive, but I’m wondering if Zipping the files and burning them would be a good option also… ?
