Taking a course in photography is obvious – but what other courses would be useful? Wildlife Biology?
Also, what would be the first steps in achieving this goal? I’m sixteen with a serious passion for photography and animals – I already have the camera, reasonable lens, and basic knowledge about technique. I would love to be a freelance wildlife/nature photographer for any sort of magazine (National Geographic would be amazing, but I know that’s unrealistic), but where do I start?
I’m applying for a job at sears portrait studios. I don’t have any real credentials, but its my passion. I’ve taken 100s of pictures. What kind of pictures should I put in a portfolio and how many should i put. I have everything from black and white landscape to pictures of babies.
Obviously the babies would go in but would it be a mistake to not have a specific background.
Like pictures of one of my friends babies, off center, in walmart. Is there anything I shouldn’t put.
My husband is a wonderful photographer. He’s been taking pictures for years. His current passion is street photography, and before that he was really excellent at still life photography. The one thing he wants to try but doesn’t think he can do is more creative photography. He doesn’t think he’s imaginitive enough to come up with concepts for photo shoots (with models), but I think it’s something he can learn.
Does anyone have any tips on how he can develop this skill?

I recently bought myself a Dslr, and ive got two professional editing programs. Im thinking about doing some baby photography. Could i charge, even a small fee? I have been practicing on family and friends, as well as my own 5 month old. I have a Bunch of great easter props.

and i want to go far with that.
i plan on making it my career.
but i just dont know if it will work out.
