How much time should a newborn be sleeping?

My newborn is a week old and is about 10 lbs 5 oz. He drinks roughly 3-4 oz and has been sleeping almost 7 hours at a time. Is this ok? I know he is big for his size, so comparing babies about the same size.

When did your newborn start drinking more than 2 oz at a time and be able to go more than every 2 to 3 hrs?

I have another child so I have raised one before but just can’t remember. When does a newborn start eating more than 2 oz at a time and can go more than 2 hours without eating? Also, when did your baby stop sleeping a lot during the day – I know it will be for a while. Did you have your baby sleep in their bed during the day or out of their room?

I’ve been using the newborn diapers for 2 1/2 weeks now. It says on the package that it’s up to 10 lbs and then the size 1 diapers says 8 – 15 lbs. When can I start using the size 1 diapers? It’s just that I’ve got a lot of size 1 diapers and was just wondering how many more newborn diapers I’ll need to buy. My baby is probably about 7lbs 5 oz now.
