My boyfriend is trying to get into the photography business by first starting out as a freelance photographer. He does everything from weddings to formal and informal events. What should he charge to start out?
He wants to do that. But because of money, his education, and his disability no one wants to have him as an assistant.
My friend is just starting out as a freelance photographer for weddings and other events. When accepting payments from clients, should he be asking for a 1099 along with their checks? Or is there some other way freelance photographers keep track of their income for when it’s time to file their taxes with the IRS?
This is unique situation, because the photographer is my acquaintance and he said I could pay him whatever I feel to pay. I have no idea how much the proper number. He’s a freelance photographer.
