I’m new to photography and just received a camera as an Xmas gift. In this digital age how is monochrome photography done (I prefer the look of black and white for a lot of subjects).
Do some digital cameras have a monochrome mode (I’ve yet to find one on mine) or is filters on SLRs or photoshopping these days?
I am really interested in photography and I am thinking about giving it a shot, but at this point I know nothing about digital cameras. Any suggestions on a good digital camera for a beginner photographer would be great. I have a very plain and simple dig. cam but I think I need something with a little more quality. Thanks a bunch.
I am interested in photography but I havent yet taken any good pictures recentl. Lately though I think that I should take some steps to improve on it.
What should I do to build up on my interest in photography? I have Canon Powershot S80 and my sister left me her EOS Rebel 2000 which I have no idea how to use since it requires real film in comparison of my basic knowledge only on operating digital cameras. Any ideas on how to get this baby up and running? [I have a specific question targetting this on on the photography forum]
Anyway, what steps would you suggest me to take in improving myself? Take classes? Join competitions? etc.. Please help me… 
I’m doing a research project on photography and was just wondering if there’s a possibility of having a list of cameras you would use for photography.
Ex: What kind of pictures would you use to have photographs of nature with HQ?
Digital cameras don’t have that certain HQ I look for in a proffesional camera.
I work at a portrait studio now and have been in photography for the last 8 years, part of me wants to go to school and learn enough about photography and how to run a small business. The other part is worried that photography is a dying business with so many people doing their own photography with digital cameras & photoshop. Is it worth all that school ,money & time?
