I would like to take up photography, lately I have taken an interest in it. I was wondering what camera I should I buy. I found cameras but they are all expensive and I don’t have the most money. And I want my first camera to be a stepping stone where i will later replace with a better one.
So I was wondering what a good beginning (and cheaper) camera for photography is?
So you are saying I should just buy any digital camera as a beginner.
I’m not looking for film camera plus I have one of those.

I recently bought the Canon Powershot A550 as it was affordable, 5 AUD.
Its good and everything but I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on doing photography with a normal digital camera, not one of those expensive ones.
Like techniques and ideas.
thanks

How can you become a professional photographer? Do you just submit your photos? and can you become one with a digital camera?

I am an amature digital photographer who has a lot of natural talent and would love to start my own business as a digital photographer without going to college. I want to do nature, outdoor, portrait, and artistic digital photography for people or businesses where I live in Kalispell, Montana. I have already taken over 200 outdoor digital photographs to build my own portfolio so my future clients can see my talent and skill with a digital camera. What I need to do now is market my skills and talents, find a need and demand for digital photographers in my town, find clients, and make a living with my own digital photography business. Does anybody have any good advice or suggestions for me? Please let me know. Thanks!

I want to get more involved with my photography. I really like black and white photography but I also really like color photography. I want a digital camera. One that would work well with adobe photoshop elements 6 (that’s all I have right now). Any suggestions and links would be helpful. Also, I would want a camera where I could actually go to the store and buy it. I don’t want to buy it over the internet. Thanks!

Here’s the scenario for this question.
Christine is a taking photography classes and she wants to make good grades in it so she can receive her photography diploma. She just started classes and already has a digital camera. If you are the teacher, what would be some basic or adept photography tips would you tell to Christine?
Make sure to read the scenario on the details area because imagine you are the teacher and you are telling Christine tips about photography. Christine has to know tips about good photo shooting.

O.K, so I’m only 15, but I like photography and would like to peruse it as a career someday. I have a decent digital camera, It’s a 5mp camera with a 4x optical zoom and a pretty decent lens. It’s just a point a shoot, but I didn’t have 0 to spend on an slr. I’ve read a book that taught me about aperture and iso and stuff. Anyway, can photography be a potential career? What could I do, if it made decent money I would like shooting weddings and events and stuff (I like candid photography best) but am willing to explore other options. Know, since I’m only 15 I know I wont be making any money for awhile but what can I do now to prepare for later? I mean like practising my photography. Oh yeah, I am decent at editing my photos and have Paint Shop Pro. So, yeah, what can I do know and what should I do later?
P.S
You don’t have to tell me that your not going to be able to do photography full time starting out, I know that photography would have to be a side job.
