i am an amerture photographer and i use a Nikon D40 SLR camera. I was just wondering what equiptment I would need for a home photography business. I have been looking at these umberallas etc but have never used them before and am unsure if that is what I need. Am looking at doing baby and kids photography.

I’m almost 31 weeks pregnant & havent had an ultrasound to tell me how the baby is doing. The only ultrasound i have had was at about 22 weeks when i booked it myself at Prebirth Photography (which you are supposed to have your 20 week done with your doctor before you can get it done, i just said i did so i could get it done, i really wanted to see my baby!) Which is just for enjoyment, they don’t tell you how the baby is doing and stuff. Shouldnt i have had a couple with my doctor already??

I’m 22 weeks pregnant (5 months, 2 weeks exactly) & I haven’t taken a single photo of my belly yet. I want to take a few with it covered. What color of shirt & background would show it best? And then I want to take some where it’s not covered. What color background would work best for that?

Any tips & advice would be great! I want to take ones at different angles, distances, etc. But it would be helpful to know what works best beforehand.
My skin is very light if that helps.

I just got a dun paint filly. She’s got it all- the zebra stripes, the dorsal stripe, the beautiful paint markings, everything.
She’s sweet, shy, willing to learn, TONS of spirit, but no attitude really. She’s very smart for being a baby.
& her name is Aislinn (pronounced ash-ling. It’s irish for a vision or dream)

She’s going to be trained in english pleasure, western pleasure, & gymkhana.
She’s got beautiful, long flowing, simple but graceful strides. Her movement is GORGEOUS.
Either or. I just got her yesterday. Her name was cheyenne, but i changed it to Aislinn.. I dont think it fits though. So a barn name and show name would be awesome thanks,
the zebra stripes are on her back legs at the hocks. My camera didnt pick um up very well though. But she does have them : )
ha ha. nine eleven would fit considering thats the day she was born! xD 9/11 at 1:47 in the morning is what the previous owners told me. hehe.

I am definitely persuing a career in photography. I am still building a portfolio and taking some courses.My husband’s friend just had a baby & my husband told him that I could probably do some photos. This will be my first time photographing people besides my family. Should I do it for free and add some photos to my portfolio or should I charge them? If I should charge them, how much should it be? Specific ideas will be appreciated.

I’m new to the world of lenses, and I’m purchasing one next week. I want a VR lens, and I can see one has it and the other doesn’t, but I guess what I dont understand is if that is the only difference between the two. I’m using the lens mostly for children photography (babies), nature, and close ups. Which do you thing would be better for what I will be using it for? Also, I’m purchasing the Nikon D60 from bestbuy, and it comes with a lens – but I’m a little confused at what lens it comes with because it says both zoom and VR in the title of it.. and it’s my understanding that those are two different lenses. Here is the link to the item, if you can help me understand what it is they are offering as a lens with that package, and the difference between the two – that’d be great help! Thanks!
