I have worked as a surf photographer where I take pics from the sand of surfers and then burn the pics to a CD for cash. I’m thinking of doing something similar but am at a loss for creative ideas.
I’ve thought of more Sports, Gymnastics, Parties, Surf Classes, Moms with babies, but nothing has jumped out as something with potential. Any suggestions for an amateur photographer?

I want to upgrade to a digital camera and I was wondering what would be a good one to go with for an amateur photographer. I like the Cannon Rebel line of cameras but I was wondering what a more affordable option might be. What are your thoughts on the Pentax K100d. I learned on a Pentax K1000 and I read that most of the older lenses will fit the Pentax digital SLR cameras.

Hello, i’m looking for a camera within 100- 350$ price range for a camera that’s great for an amateur photographer. I mostly take pictures with macro mode, so a great zoom would be preferable.

I’m an amateur photographer. As in, I don’t wish to take it up as a career, but I absolutely loooooooooooooove photography. The thing is, I need to buy a new camera for photography, but I’m not sure which one to get. Someone help me out please.

I have a photographer looking to shoot me but he’s an amateur photographer and I need to protect my rights etc. He is looking to build his portfolio so I checked out his pictures and they seemed respectful enough. I have done other photo shoots before but that was with a professional assigned photographer through an agency. What should be previously agreed on including copyright info and rights to the pictures.

One of the common questions asked by an amateur photographer wanting to start nude work is "where to get models?" One of the common answers is often to ask friends. Though I have been a semi-pro photographer for years I have avoided asking friends to pose nude out of concern for how they would feel about it, though some of them have asked me after seeing some of the work I have done with models. So, how would you feel if a friend who is a legitimate photographer asked you to pose?

I would like to start a small photography business…nothing major as I am an amateur photographer and am not sure of myself/skills yet. I do think that I take pretty decent photos and have a great passion for photography but don’t really know how to begin. What kind of fairly inexpensive camera is a good start? I do have a Sony Digital Camera and a Canon SLR 35mm. Also, what other kind of equipment is imperative when beginning-just to look like you know what your doing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
One more thing before I forget, what is needed to take great photos of food/wine? Is there a special kind of setup that I would need?

I am going to have an interview for freelance photographer. I am just an amateur photographer and have no idea how things work as far as compensation.
Do they get paid per picture or per occasion ? How much is the average rate for freelance photographer for local magazine ?
