How would you feel if a friend how is a photographer asked you to pose nude?
One of the common questions asked by an amateur photographer wanting to start nude work is "where to get models?" One of the common answers is often to ask friends. Though I have been a semi-pro photographer for years I have avoided asking friends to pose nude out of concern for how they would feel about it, though some of them have asked me after seeing some of the work I have done with models. So, how would you feel if a friend who is a legitimate photographer asked you to pose?

Wow, I have no idea. I am not exactly model-quality, so it would be more of a character piece, I guess. LOL
I think it would be nice to be asked, though, especially if you already know the person does nude shots. I think if you just casually let them know you would like to shoot them and then just leave the topic alone, you are politely opening the door without forcing anything on them. They might get used to the idea or they might get a fit of the giggles – male or female – but they have to know people do get asked and I think even those who decline would be pleased you asked. Just ask them briefly and professionally, and preferrably not when there are a dozen other friends listening to tease them about it afterwards! If they decline or seem like they are uncertain, you can just let them know that you think they would be a great subject and leave it at that – if they change their mind, they will let you know and I would not keep bringing it up to them or it will feel like awkward.
Delighted. Nothing wrong with expanding horizons.
I would feel honoured if they are really good. Some might feel other things. Then again I would need a full bodywax to de-wog me, unless you like hairy shots…….

It would certainly depend on how good of a friend they were, if I knew the reasons why they wanted the pictures (to advance art as opposed to being creepy), and what they were going to do with the pictures. I think as long as you explain yourself, not too many people would have a problem with it.
me I wouldn’t do it lol I would be scared
I’d be ok with it. Then again I’m a B.U.B. (Big Ugly Bastard) and well past my sell-by date. So I don’t have to worry about anyone confusing the pix with porn.
A young woman might have trust issues. It’s best to start with people who know you well enough to trust that you aren’t going to post the photos on porn sites.
depends on how much trust I had in my photographer-friend…
why not start off with a photoshoot of your friends with clothes on, and see how they feel in front of the camera… if you are a photographer and not a perverted bastard, and the photos are "artistic" and not "pornographic", I am sure a lot of people would be open to exploring new things!
I really don’t understand the question. If you truly are legit and it’s all about the art you should have no problem asking anyone. If you are looking for more than art then that’s on you and your conscience if you are using your position to take advantage or seduce women. It would be a unwise move if so. It would work at times, but in the long run ruin any rep u had.
Honestly, I wouldn’t do it. I don’t feel very uncomfortable in a bathing suit, let alone nude (and I’m at a perfect weight for my height)! I would feel honored about their request, but probably would not have the nerve to do it. It would make me feel too uncomfortable.
EDIT
Thumbs down for saying that I am uncomfortable? I was just saying what I would feel and answering the question. . .
If a friend, amateur or Pro, asked, I would be pleased.
I wouldnt accept, but I would be pleased.
I prefer my side of the camera. Most of my friends have no interest being photographed period, let alone nude, so I have never asked.
I HAVE begged a couple of times, and attempted blackmail, but never followed thru.
I found it easier to shoot strangers naked, than try to get friends to pose for me. With friends that know you well, there might be more "issues" to get around, than with a stranger.
It depends who this person is. If they were one of my close friends I would be ok, as long as they don’t tell any one it was me. Because I would not feel comfortable knowing that other people know what I look like posed nude
I’ve done a lot of life modelling, so would feel comfortable providing he/she was a true professional.
