How to find a good and reasonable photographer?

I’m not photogenic but I want a photo for online dating. Where can I find a service that would take a few pictures for online use at a reasonable cost?
I suppose I can always go to a regular photographer,but I was hoping to find something less expensive.

Just ask around – most people will know someone locally. You could also have a friend take one on a digital camera – or go to Glamour Shots. Most people don’t have professionals pic for online dating. Good luck!
Buy your own digital camera ($150-200) and take pictures by yourself or ask your friends do this until you get a perfect picture.

my family’s favorite place has always been The Picture People. they do really nice pictures, they have a variety of props and nice backdrops. and thier prices are comparative to JCPenny’s. if you don’t know where one is in your area, you can go to picturepeople.com. good luck!
as a photographer , i would say if it is just a progile picture , do it yourself or have a friend do it. just take many pictures in many situations and search for one that you like best . the price of a photographer for something as such just isnt worth it
