I can’t believe the number of photography courses which still want you to shoot black and white film and develop it yourself.
I have no objection to b&w and all it entails but time should be spent on composition and exposure, not mixing chemicals.
Digital, with its instant feedback and dirt cheap cost-per-shot, is the all-time killer photography teaching tool.
Why would educators not see this?

I’m curious what it’s like to be a professional photographer, and how you get prepared for a career in photography.
Is there a special school you go to to become a photographer?
What exactly does a professional photographer DO?
Is there a job you can get when you’re young to get prepared for a career in photography?
What is the average pay of a professional photographer?
Thanks for answers to any or all questions!

I am photographer shooting my first wedding soon. So excited!
I am nervous though about moving throughout the ceremony and taking pictures. I am not really sure to draw the line. I have been to weddings where the photographer literally ran all over the place during the ceremony, and I’ve been to weddings where the photographer sat in the pew (no joke!)
Assuming your church/venue allowed it, would you want the photographer to run all over like that? If that was the best way to get quality pics?
What is a good medium?

I’m planning to bring my newborn to another country to visit the father of my child.
I’m still pregnant though and my due date is just a week ahead.
Application for passports for infants is just a one-week process and I’m planning to buy a ticket immediately once I got the passport.
How many months old should a newborn be before he/she can go on a flight?
What should I expect or be aware of in flights with newborns?

I love taking pictures. I am also good with software and computers. I will graduate high school in two years and I am thinking about being a photographer. Is a photographer a good career? About how much do you make if you photograph weddings? Is it a fun job [ and I am talking about every photographer job, not just weddings]. Thank you!
Ps. I plan on going to college four to five years if I choose to be a photographer.

I want to get more involved with my photography. I really like black and white photography but I also really like color photography. I want a digital camera. One that would work well with adobe photoshop elements 6 (that’s all I have right now). Any suggestions and links would be helpful. Also, I would want a camera where I could actually go to the store and buy it. I don’t want to buy it over the internet. Thanks!
